"It is the first time they have been here and I am really proud that they were in the stands watching me. I am really happy and I think I made them proud. I spoke to my father before the game and he gave me some encouraging words. "We always speak for competitions because he helps me every time.
"I have joined Rangers for such nights. It's great – this is Ibrox, honey. You can't stop believing, even at 2-0. Amazing things happen at Ibrox. & # 39;
Gerrards men had looked down and out prior to Hagi's 67th minute intervention, with sub Joe Aribo drawing the sides with an excellent solo effort of 75 minutes before the Romanian brought the house down with the winner seven minutes later.
Hoping to inspire the team to continue from next week's return and reach the final 16 of the Europa League, added Hagi added: & # 39; My dream is to win trophies. This is my mentality and I want to win them every year. This is the mentality I have had since my childhood. I want to be a winner.
"At the start of every season I want to collect trophies. I cannot say that we will win the trophy this season, but we will certainly try well.
"But it's not over yet. This is only the first part. We also have to play well next week.
& # 39; Yes, it is an important victory, but it is still only the first leg and we have to think about St. Johnstone on Sunday.
& # 39; We play every three days, so we don't have time to reflect on a game. But we are confident that we can score in Portugal and make progress. & # 39;
Aribo was overjoyed to get off the couch and & # 39; make 2-2 at night.
He said: & # 39; It is the most important goal of my career so far.
& # 39; The gaffer said I had to be positive when I came and brought the ball to Braga so that they didn't have it in their own way.
& # 39; I have never scored such a & # 39; n goal before. What went through my mind?
"I just passed by the first man and then I couldn't go back. I just had to keep going and then I stood in front of the goal. "Fortunately I found the back of the net. The feeling when the ball hit the net was relief. I just buzzed that it had entered and that we were flat. & # 39;
After a stuttering start by Rangers until 2020, Aribo hopes that the victory can start the second half of the season on the Ibrox side.
& # 39; We needed one & night like that & # 39 ;, he said. "The boys are high. We are all absolutely ecstatic. I have never experienced anything like the atmosphere here tonight. It was like a 12th man. It was a wonderful feeling to have the support of the fans. Now we want to keep up the pace. & # 39;

United has put down some poor performances, but will enter 2020 with the Carabao Cup semi-finals and knockout phase Europa League to look forward to.
The side of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is also only four points away from the Champions League locations in the Premier League on their way to the weekend, with Wan-Bissaka confident that the club can make progress in the coming weeks and months.
& # 39; I & # 39; "I am happy with the team and what we have done together so far, and I think there is more to come," he said prior to Sunday's trip to Vicarage Road to include Watford.
& # 39; That's why I became a member – to be part of such a great club. The fans have been great. They help me in every game and their reactions to my tackles help me a lot during games. It is nice to hear the praise. & # 39;
Wan-Bissaka has been embraced by fans of the club since his arrival in the summer thanks to his infallible talent to get a foot in and win a tackle when it looks beyond most.
The right back was United & # 39; s man of the match in the recent 2-1 derby triumph in Manchester City for the way he excelled in defense , but he is not carried away.
& # 39; My first derby was a good experience, & # 39; Wan-Bissaka told MUTV.
& # 39; I was excited about it and I was excited after the game. It was a great week for us. At the end of the season I look back (to the statistics). It is always good to know that the numbers are high. & # 39;
Wan-Bissaka, still to be capped by England, is about to make his 20th appearance of the season when United travels to Watford.
Paul Pogba will be one of the absent when Solskjaer & # 39; s side goes to Hertfordshire, but the manager is convinced that the team is in a good place on their way to Christmas.
& # 39; I feel the team is ready, & # 39; Said Solskjaer. "We are physically ready and mentally we are at a good time because we are getting some decent results.
" The fitness of many players, they are coming back and we are getting more competition for places.
& # 39; It is important and why we rotate. We get players back in training and it is more or less a full squad training now. That's good to see. Who is a fit match and who is no other scenario. & # 39;
& # 39; You are sometimes so tense. It was just that perfect, you know? & # 39; Megan Rapinoe reveals delight about & # 39; next level trolling & # 39; of Alex Morgan with her tea party at Women & # 39; s World Cup
Morgan earned the US semi-final win over Phil Neville Leeuwinnen, but instead of the goal itself it was the tea-sipping mime in the aftermath that hit the headlines.
Piers Morgan was one of those who slammed Morgan, tweet & make those bastards snatch into it & # 39 ;, and Rapinoe came out in defense of her teammate.
In an exclusive interview with the BBC, she said about the World Cup: & # 39; There has been much talk about arrogance, too much to celebrate, but this is what you want.
& # 39; These are the goals you want and this team gives it to you – it's challenging but it's cheeky. I feel like we're going to have fun. We have a very serious role to play, so it's a bit of a balance.
& # 39; We've always done this – we've done cartwheels, sung into microphones, made snow angels when we played in the snow.
& # 39; The next level that trolls with the tea [by Alex Morgan] is so funny, it's so funny because you're so tense sometimes, it was just so perfect, you know?
& # 39; I said after the Thailand match [where the USA team were criticised by pundits and former players for their celebrations in a 13-0 win at the World Cup in June] – if someone wants to come after us because he is not playing properly, because he is not a good ambassador, then I am happy to have that conversation. & # 39;
& # 39; We believe there is no better manager & # 39 ;: Liverpool owners express their joy because & # 39; is the best & # 39; Jurgen Klopp extends contract until 2024
Klopp has signed a new four and a half year deal with Liverpool on Friday with the Premier League leaders on track to add their season last season to their Champions League trophy with a national title.
The German had written a new deal in June 2016 and with two and a half years on those terms, the Fenway Sports Group had always intended to reward Klopp for the excellent work he oversaw, including the victory over Tottenham in Madrid in May.
If Klopp came in 2024, he became Liverpool's longest serving manager since Bob Pa isley, who was in charge from 1974 to 1983.
But speaking to Liverpool & # 39; s official website on the same day that Klopp was named Premier League Manager of the month of November after leading his side to four wins in four games, FSG issued a joint statement to show their appreciation for what Klopp has already achieved it.
Chief owner John Henry, chairman Tom Werner and FSG president Mike Gordon said today: & We are delighted that we were able to reach an agreement with Jürgen – as well as Peter and Pep – in the renewal of their time at the club. Because we are sure that our supporters agree, it is really great news and we are all very enthusiastic, not just professionally, but also personally.
& We think this is one of the great moments of our Liverpool Football Club stewardship, so we believe in the better manager than Jürgen. The decision also fits in with the club's overall strategy to build from a strong position.
& # 39; It means that Jürgen will oversee Melwood's ongoing transition to the new Kirkby training while the club continues to follow the vision of its elite in all facets of the industry.
& # 39; It also provides us with continuity with the existing management structure for football activities, under the supervision of sports director Michael Edwards, whose contribution to the project cannot be overestimated. He is – and will remain – as indispensable as anyone in the direction of Liverpool Football Club. In Jürgen and Michael, we are blessed with world-class leadership.
"This is a collective partnership that the club has seen and then re-establish itself as an elite artist at home and abroad.
" In 2015 we used the expression & # 39 ; ideal fit & # 39; when we appointed Jürgen. This remains applicable today and, if anything, the circumstances make it more relevant. We consider him the best there is.
& # 39; If Liverpool Football Club was looking for the most striking, elite manager for our current status today, Jürgen would be the first choice – no doubt.
"We believe that this relationship is based on trust and mutual benefit: Jürgen has delivered for LFC and LFC has delivered for Jürgen.
" Both parties have come to the conclusion that they keep working together. and building on the work of the past four years, there is the possibility of maximizing each other's potential. & # 39;
A victory so good that even Roy Keane is on board: Typically grumpy legend can't hide a delight about & # 39; excellent & # 39; Manchester United performance as they put City on the sword
- Roy Keane struggled to hide his joy with Manchester United derby victory
- Former United Captain greeted the & # 39; excellent & # 39; club performance on Saturday
- The outspoken pundit also believes that the display of United will give them confidence
- Keane also praised Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but emphasized the need for consistency
- Ryan Giggs says he was delighted to have a opening of Euro 2020 prevent trip to Italy
- The manager of Wales also likes to play two games in Baku
- He got another boost as star man Gareth Bale made a rare Real Madrid start
- Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was appointed captain of Arsenal at the beginning of the month
- He replaced Granit Xhaka as captain after the outbreak. from the midfielder to fans
- Aubameyang is pleased to be chosen to wear the captain's bracelet
Roy Keane struggled to hide his joy with ] Manchester St & St 39's performance in their derby win against City on Saturday.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer & # 39; s side edited along the title hunters after the first half goals from Marcus Rashford ] and Anthony Martial moved United to fifth and five points on drift of the Champions League spots.
And the former United States captain greeted the & # 39; excellent & # 39; show of the club against the ruling champions – and believes that the triumph can enable players to take advantage of much-needed confidence.
The 48-year-old expert has not escaped criticizing the top flight giants on countless occasions since he hung up his boots, but Keane seemed particularly impressed by the way where United had conquered the victory over their city rivals.
The men of Solskjaer have now combined two consecutive victories to bring them back into the European position, after United had improved former manager Jose Mourinho on the return of the Portuguese to Old Trafford with Tottenham mid-week.
But Keane quickly played the importer to defeat the London side, and instead opted to focus on the club's overall turn in shape.
Speaking of Sky Sports, he said: & I absolutely did not see this coming. It was fantastic – a real United version. Lots of courage and personality. They were excellent.
& I don't think defeating Tottenham at home was a big deal, but that victory (over City) gives players a lot of confidence because they have been criticized – no one likes to be criticized.
& # 39; I really enjoyed watching them, that's what United is all about. But the key is to be consistent, week in, week out. Hopefully these young players will pick that up. & # 39;
Keane, whose last outing for coaching came earlier this year with Nottingham Forest, also praised Solskjaer – who had come under increasing pressure after his stuttering form since he was handed the hot seat permanently.
& # 39; He is trying to build a bond with the supporters, & # 39; Keane added. & # 39; You are going to Man United to win. It is a huge tribute to Ole. Man United is always about young players, but they need more consistency. & # 39;
With City staggered by a faltering attack to keep their crown, United had conquered two goals in the first half and defended resolutely after the break to cause further trouble with Pep Guardiola.
And at the break, Keane was just delighted and said: & # 39; They deserve to score two goals. They have been excellent. & # 39;
The Irishman, known for his no-nonsense punditry style, has smothered several United versions of this campaign – the former skipper even claiming to be old players & # 39; lynched & # 39; settle for fourth place.
Keane also complained about the poor quality shown in a & # 39; shocking & # 39; a draw between United and Arsenal in September, and had predicted that both wrestlers would miss Champions League football.
Recent reports have even suggested that Solskjaer set up in Keane to hold a team discussion in the run-up to the derby collision, with the Norwegian enthusiast to emphasize the club's rich history.
But according to The Mirror, Keane was not at all impressed by an unnamed United-star, who reportedly lingered in his seat and wore an uninterested expression.
Although the spirits in the United camp received a monumental boost after defeating City, fellow Sky Sports expert Gary Neville remains firmly grounded.
He said: & It gives Ole a little breathing space and the confidence that he can win big games as shown in the last four days. It gives you the hope that there is something that can produce that level of performance.
& # 39; But it doesn't change what United should do in January. They need to gain experience to strengthen that team. They desperately need it. Scott McTominay and Fred have done brilliantly, but they can't do it every week. & # 39;
Ryan Giggs provided a double boost because Wales avoids Italy at the opening of the Euro 2020 competition and Gareth Bale makes a rare start for Real Madrid
Before the draw in Bucharest, Giggs knew that Wales would be placed in group A or B, but floating in the former group next to Italy, Turkey and Switzerland was ideal, especially since the order of the games means they are first confronted with Switzerland, while Italy and Turkey fight it out in the first match of the entire tournament in Rome on 12 June.
& # 39; We wanted to prevent Italy from playing in the first game in Rome and we did, Giggs said.
& # 39; Italy becomes favorite, so the rest of us is pretty competitive and we will probably all fight for second place.
& # 39; We play Italy in the last game in Rome, which is difficult because they have come back in a big way and have won 10 qualifications.
& # 39; But it's good to play the first two games in Baku. I am happy with that.
& # 39; We won there a few weeks ago (against Azerbaijan) and playing consecutive games means we don't have all the extra journeys, Baku to Rome and then Baku again.
& # 39; We can base ourselves there and get used to the heat and the facilities. Hopefully they will adopt us as their second country, after having been there a few times, and support us. & # 39;
Giggs & # 39; second piece of hospitable news cam from Spain, where Bale made a rare start for Real, as she defeated Alaves 2-1 up La Liga.
Bale was criticized in Spain for posing with a banner with the text & # 39; Wales, Golf, Real Madrid & # 39; if that was the order of his priorities.
Giggs acknowledges that he needs his main player in regular action.
& # 39; I want to see all of my players play so that when they come to the camp, you no longer have to worry about fitness or worry about turning them off after 60 or 70 minutes . That is all I hope for.
& # 39; Where they play does not matter, preferably in good clubs and Gareth is one of the largest in the world.
& # 39; He has not played before they come to the last few camps a lot, but he has done brilliantly for us and because of his ability, fitness and passion he can do it, but it is not ideal. & # 39;
Bale has been associated with a move away from Madrid in January, but Giggs & # 39; comments suggest that he would not want him to join the Chinese League to join this prepare for a tournament.
& # 39; It is a privilege to follow in the footsteps of Patrick Vieira and Tony Adams & # 39 ;: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang talks about his delight in becoming a captain at Arsenal after Granit Xhaka was deprived of the bracelet for & # 39; f *** off & # 39; rant
Aubameyang received the bracelet permanently at the beginning of the month after Granit Xhaka was stripped of the captain.
Xhaka told Arsenal fans that they should & # 39; f *** off & # 39; after he was replaced on October 27 against Crystal Palace and has not played for the club since.
Under fire Arsenal manager Unai Emery got no other ke uze then to discipline Xhaka and his loss was A The gain of ubameyang.
Aubameyang, who wrote in the Arsenal club program, said about the possibility: & Arsenal has a great history of wonderful captains such as Patrick Vieira and Tony Adams.
& # 39; It is a privilege to follow in their footsteps and I will honor the bracelet by doing my very best on and next to the field.
& # 39; When I was younger, I always remember that I wanted to be a leader in my youth teams. I recently spoke about it with my mother. We laughed because we remembered how I used to buy bracelets so I could wear them!
& # 39; At the start of my career, I was not too keen on being a captain or not. Now it feels good. It has many responsibilities, but I feel that I can do it well. I have been Captain Gabon since 2015 and that was also a great honor.
& # 39; My father was also the captain of the national team when he played. So it was very special to take it over in a certain way. Now I do the double with Arsenal and Gabon and it is a great privilege. & # 39;
Aubameyang wears the bracelet on Saturday when Arsenal hosts Southampton at the Emirates Stadium.
They are in sixth place in the Premier League clash.
