Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov have re-ruled their word war through social media with a heated exchange on Monday.
Khabib defeated McGregor by entry in the fourth round of their 2018 collision, after which the Russian scaled the cage and attacked his rival's team.
The incident heightened the hatred between the couple and McGregor has repeatedly called for a rematch in an attempt to get revenge on the lightweight world champion.
Khabib has so far refused to be lured into a second fight but exchanged insults with the Irish on Twitter while the & # 39; infamous & # 39; aimed his target at his rival.
McGregor posted a photo of Khabib scaling up the cage on the way to attacking his Cornerman, Dillon Danis, after their fight, along with the caption & # 39; STARDE FIGHT & # 39 ;.
His tweet caught the attention of Khabib, who responded by uploading an image of him in which he pushed McGregor during his fight against the cage and the & # 39; Heeelp & # 39; caption.
The 31-year-old followed that with a video from McGregor attacking a man in a Dublin pub and the caption: & # 39; show it to your son and say how good you are in street fighting & # 39 ;.
McGregor had the last word in the exchange, with a cartoon image of him and Donald Cerrone embracing after his victory over the & # 39; Cowboy & # 39; in his comeback fight for Christmas and the rule: & I save my hugs for postfight
Despite the constant tension between the couple, a rematch seems unlikely in the near future, with Khabib set to Tony Ferguson in a long-awaited competition on April 19.
McGregor, meanwhile, reportedly taking action again in July in Las Vegas against an unnamed opponent.
On Sunday, Khabib & # 39; s manager Ali Abdelaziz ruled out a rematch with McGregor unless he defeats a credible opponent in his next fight.
He said: "If Khabib wins on April 18, Conor McGregor is not getting a title shot – simple," Abdelaziz told ESPN.
& # 39; Dana White is the best promoter of all time because he understands fighting and matchmaking. The only way Conor McGregor can fight for a title is if he beats someone like Justin Gaethje.
& # 39; If he did, it would be difficult to deny him. & # 39;
UFC chief Dana White recently discussed the & # 39; hate & # 39; between the couple and insisted that the rivalry is real and has not thawed since their fight.
& # 39; They hate each other & # 39 ;, he told TMZ Sports. "If you think you're going to do an interview with Khabib and he's going to say great things about Conor McGregor, it will never happen.
" If you interview Conor McGregor, he'll never say great things about Khabib. They hate each other. & # 39;
If the Manchester United campaign was pursued by inconsistency, there is one constant thorn in it their side – in the form of super agent Mino Raiola.
The outspoken Italian is the agent of the midfielder of the Red Devils Paul Pogba who has insisted on a move from Old Trafford since last summer. The 26-year-old has a contract until 2021, with the side of Premier League an option to extend it with an extra year.
And with Raiola fiercely defending his client, and playing part of the unsuccessful attempt by United to sign Erling Braut Haaland it is fair to say that relations between club and agent have become tense.
Here, Sportsmail looks at how events and the war of words took place this season.
July 5, 2019 – Raiola publicly declares that he is trying to make an exit for Pogba. & # 39; Everyone knows Paul's willingness to continue, & # 39; he told the times. & # 39; We are working on that. Everyone knows what Paul's feelings are. Everyone within the club, from the manager to the owner, knows Paul's wishes. & # 39;
July 9, – Raiola says that Pogba & # 39; has done nothing wrong when trying to force an exit and asks United not to offer his client more protection against external criticism.
& # 39; The player has done nothing wrong, he has been respectful and professional in every respect & he said.
& # 39; The club has known its feelings for a long time, it is a shame that other people only criticize without the right information and I am also sorry that the club does not take a position on this. Hopefully there will be a satisfactory solution for all parties soon. & # 39;
July 10, – Solskjaer strikes back and declares during the preseason trip of United in Perth: & # 39; As far as I know there are no bids made for players. We are Man United and we do not have to sell. It just goes on. Paul has never been a concern to me. He works hard, he is a real professional and a proud boy, the same answer again.
& # 39; I can't sit here talking about what Paul and his agent are saying. He has a few years left from his contract and he has been fantastic. I'm here to talk about the season … pre-season is coming. Paul never put himself out of the team, always did his best and I can't report anything. Agents talk all the time and we haven't had any bids, that's all I can say about this.
& # 39; I'm not just talking about Mino Raiola, there are a lot of agents who take care of their customers. We have players and a team that I have to take care of. & # 39;
September 16 – Gary Neville blasts Raiola as a & # 39; shame & # 39; and says that Manchester United & # 39; should stop working with him & # 39 ;.
& # 39; His agent is a disgrace and a disgrace throughout Europe – not just for Manchester United, & # 39; Neville told TV2. & # 39; They must stop working with him. He does not have the values that you want in your club.
& # 39; My opinion is that Manchester United does not have to negotiate with him. He will try to arrange a transfer for his player and will try to take part of the transfer fee. That's how it works. & # 39;
December 20 – Raiola emphasizes that Pogba is not looking for a way out of Old Trafford, but calls on the club to form a clear identity for the midfielder to become part of it. to make out.
& # 39; I think Paul really went home. Paul could have gone somewhere else. But he really chose to go home with his heart. Paul is a very, very nice person, & he said to the Telegraph.
& # 39; Paul wants to be successful and happy and wants to win prizes and he would like to do that with Manchester United. & # 39;
December 23 – Neville insists that he does not trust Raiola after his last public statement about Pogba's ambitions with United. After their 2-0 defeat on Vicarage Road, which was Pogba's first appearance since September, Neville said: & that's good. That is good news. In the end I look forward to seeing him in the club for the next two or three years.
& # 39; If he is, I will be happy because a flying, fit, motivated and dedicated Paul Pogba is a huge asset to Manchester United. But I don't believe a word his agent says. I don't believe a word coming from that man's mouth. & # 39;
December 30 – Raiola hits United after their failure to his customer Haaland from RB Salzburg sign. The Red Devils missed the striker, now in Borussia Dortmund, after he had refused to meet the demands of his representatives.
It is understood that Dortmund has agreed to give Raiola and the father of the attacker Alf-Inge Haaland a significant part of the future sales value of the 19-year-old, whose hierarchy in Old Trafford was reluctant to sanction.
& # 39; I don't know if Manchester United is informing this, but if that is the case, they cover their own losses and I find that strange and disappointing, & # 39; Raiola told The Telegraph.
& # 39; There was no quarrel between me and (vice-president of the United States) Ed Woodward. It was just a normal negotiation and the player has chosen a different path. If they want to blame someone, blame me, but the player is happy. He made his choice and we went through a normal process. & # 39;
December 30 – Raiola talks about Sky Sports and insists that his client remain a United player for the rest of the season before adding his point of contact at the club is Ed Woodward, not Solskjaer.
& # 39; Paul has always respected Manchester United, just as Manchester United has always respected Paul & # 39 ;, said the Italian. "And the only one who speaks for Manchester United and for Paul is Ole, because he comments in the newspaper and in the press.
" I go on what he (Solskjaer) says. He (Pogba) won't move, and that's okay. We are good with them. Paul struggles a bit with his injury that we tried to resolve and I think that is now our greatest interest.
& # 39; So if Ole has ideas about my player and he wants to talk to me about it, he knows my number. And until that moment I talk to Ed Woodward, because that is the person I talk to at the club. I never spoke to Ole.
& # 39; So I don't know. I only know that Paul respects him, loves him for what he has done to him in the past. And that's it, that's all I know about Ole. & # 39;
December 31 – A day later, Raiola says that Pogba needs to be in a team competing for trophies.
& # 39; Yes I can, but in a club I hope he fights for the competition and hopefully the Champions League & # 39 ;, he told Sky Sports News in response to or following his client would be with United this year.
& # 39; Is that strange? Am I the only one who worries? Does the owner not worry? I think everyone in love with Manchester United is worried about that.
& # 39; I am concerned about that for my player. As long as Paul is in Manchester United, he wants to win trophies with Manchester United.
& # 39; That's the kind of player he is and he won't behave differently. It is clear that they are not where they think they should be. & # 39;
December 31 – On the same day, Raiola launched another destructive attack on the Red Devils and claimed that the club had a & # 39; problem is for his client and insisting that he would not help any of his other players move to Old Trafford. Raiola also suggested that the club is so dysfunctional that it would have ruined even the career of Diego Maradona, Pele and Paolo Maldini if they had played there under the current setup.
& # 39; Pogba & # 39; s problem is Manchester United. It is a club that has no contact with reality and without a sports project, "he told Italian news channel La Repubblica.
" I would not take anyone there, they would even ruin Maradona, Pele and Maldini. Paul needs a club and a team, just like Juventus previously. & # 39;
January 1, 2020 – Solskjaer claims that the & # 39; people & # 39; van Pogba advise him to undergo surgery on his tricky ankle injury in a thin veiled excavation. After United's 2-0 defeat by Arsenal on New Year's Day, the Norwegian expressed his opinion on the situation.
Asked when Pogba was expected to return, he said: & # 39; Three or four weeks maybe, I don't know. He has been advised to have an operation performed by his people and he will probably do that. & # 39;
January 1 – Speaking as a BT Sport expert at United's defeat in Arsenal, club legend back Rio Ferdinand criticized Raiola for his recent outbursts.
& # 39; If I sat there who advised Paul, I would say: & # 39; Go talk. You are your own husband. Your voice will be heard the loudest. Don't let your agent speak. Close your agent. "
& # 39; You speak and add some clarity to your situation so that your fans know where you are, your teammates know where you are at, and your club, your manager, the people who matter, know where you are. & # 39;
January 2 – Raiola says he does not have Manchester United forced his client to buy back in 2016 for a then record £ 89 million at that time adden released him initially to Juventus in 2012 after Pogba was reluctant to sign a new contract.
& # 39; I did not threaten anyone in Manchester United with a gun to buy back Paul Pogba & # 39 ;, he told Voetbal International.
& # 39; Alex Ferguson went directly against me and Paul, that is allowed, but where was he when his successors bought Paul back? & # 39;
January 15 – With Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford associated with joining Raiola & bureau's stable, former United coach Rene Meulensteen warned not to do this – claiming it was trouble for the club because the Italian puts his own interests first.
& # 39; It is really strange to me, & he told talkSPORT. & # 39; Sometimes these agents get way too much control, but that's how the system works. It is crazy and it causes problems for managers. I think a club the size of Manchester United should be able to take care of that itself. & # 39;
& # 39; Pogba was already with him, but now Lingard and Rashford, & he added. & # 39; It is not a good development in my opinion. His way is first Raiola and then the player, and not the interest of the club. & # 39;
January 22 – Solskjaer confirms that the Red Devils withdrew to sign Haaland because of his agent Raiola.
& # 39; It is important that we use common sense, & # 39; he said during a press conference. & # 39; There are other things when you draw players that you have to keep under control. You cannot give agents control by giving buy-outs clauses and such.
& # 39; That has been advertised around, that is for me, we must have control. & # 39;
January 22 – Raiola reveals that he has never spoken to Solskjaer, but remains open with Woodward in communicating Pogba & # 39; s wish for Manchester To leave United.
About his relationship with United, Raiola said: & it's good. It is a professional, honest relationship. I have never spoken with Ole … but my relationship with Ed [Woodward] is transparent. I expect my players to be happy and the clubs happy.
& # 39; For now he must be fit, then I have to make both parties happy. If that is not the case, there are other ways to solve that. I'm not saying anything for sure. These days he is not happy because he is not playing. & # 39;
February 14 – When linking Pogba to a return to Juventus in the summer, Raiola describes Italy as a & # 39; home & # 39; for the 26 year.
& # 39; Italy is like home for Paul. He wouldn't mind going back to Juve, but we'll see what will happen after the euros, "he said after Juve's Coppa Italia first leg draw on AC Milan.
"Paul wants to play at the best level but he cannot escape through Manchester United if they are in a difficult situation. & # 39;
February 15 – Raiola hints that Pogba will probably leave United if the club does not qualify for the Champions League. In a conversation with Italian media, he said: "He [Pogba] never lost his smile, but a great player is clearly not going to Manchester United not to challenge the Champions League or the Premier League title.
& # 39; It would be a bull for me not to admit that Paul wants to stay at the highest level. But Pogba will first and foremost try to do his best and then at the end of the season we will see if he should stay or not. & # 39;
February 17 – Solskjaer strikes back in Raiola in their last spit – declare Pogba & # 39 ; s future is in the hands of United, not the agent.
& # 39; Paul is our player and not Minos & # 39; s, & # 39; Said Solskjaer. & # 39; I didn't sit down and told Paul to tell his agent what to say. I didn't speak to Mino, that's for sure. & # 39;
17 February – Only 17 minutes for United & # 39; s Premier League match in Chelsea Raiola returned with more excavations at Solskjaer, via Twitter, insisting that Pogba not a & # 39; prisoner & # 39; is.
In an astonishing rage, he posted three photos on social media that said: & # 39; Pogba is not mine and certainly not the property of Solskjaer. Paul is Paul Pogba. You can't own a person in the UK or anywhere else for a long time.
& I hope Solskjaer does not want to suggest that Paul is his prisoner. But before Solskjaer makes comments about things I say, he needs to better inform himself about the content of what has been said
& I am a free citizen who can think and express my thoughts. Until now I was perhaps too nice to him. Solskjaer just has to remember things he said to Paul in the summer.
& # 39; I think Solskjaer can be frustrated for several reasons and confuse some things. I think Solskjaer should have other concerns. At least if I were him, I would. & # 39;
February 17 – After the game after Monday's 2-0 victory, the Blues was talked about, Solskjaer wary of being drawn into a word war again with the outspoken Italian.
] When asked about the exorcism rsting from Raiola & # 39; s social media, Solskjaer said: & # 39; Well, I don't need to comment on the media on Mino and what he says. I can probably talk to him myself.
& # 39; Everyone has a voice and your opinion. Things are said about us that you want to comment on, but you'd rather not do that and it's smarter that you don't respond to many different things. & # 39;
17 February – Roy Keane urges Manchester United to sell Pogba this summer after the midfielder's agent got embroiled in a new word war with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Keane said the club should look at the bigger picture & # 39; after Solskjaer was questioned about Raiola's remark that Solskjaer hoped he did not suggest that Pogba be his & # 39; prisoner & # 39; used to be.
Keane told Sky Sports: & # 39; If it's not good for the club and people are almost laughing at you, these agents, let these guys go. Look at the bigger picture. We are talking about a great club like Manchester United. Don't go after these agents and these players who, I think, don't want to be with the club in the end.
& # 39; The agents don't want them to be there, I don't think Pogba wants to be there. Just shake hands and say "Go ahead". He will go this summer. He will go in the summer, 100 percent. & # 39;
& # 39; If someone has to die today, we die & # 39 ;: Eric Djemba-Djemba reveals Marc-Vivien Foe's eerie last words to teammates for his fatal collapse during 2003 Confederations Cup
- Eric Djemba-Djemba has recalled the last words of teammate Marc-Vivien Foe
- . The ex-Man United midfielder said that Foe said he was ready to die on the field
- Foe made the declaration hours before he collapsed in the middle circle in 2003
Eric Djemba-Djemba has revealed the hair-raising last words of former Cameroon teammate Marc-Vivien Foe before collapsing on the field during a Confederations Cup match in 2003.
Djemba-Djemba partner Foe in central midfield for Cameroon but on that day at Stade de Gerland in Lyon, he saw his teammate collapse in the middle circle after an aerial challenge and he died shortly thereafter.
I will never forget what he said to us on the bus b before we played, & Djemba-Djemba told the sun.
& # 39; He said: & # 39; If someone has to die today, we will die. We don't have to lose that game because I promised my wife and children that we should go to that final. I have to win the Confederations Cup. & # 39; & # 39;
Foe began complaining about tiredness at Djemba-Djemba and the plan was to encourage the coach to replace him as soon as the ball went out of play.
But after he challenged Colombian Mario Yepes, he collapsed and the concerns of both sides were immediate.
& # 39; I saw Foe fall down and then I saw Mario shout: "Hey, hey, hey," added Djemba-Djemba.
& # 39; We walked over to him and we knew that he was dead immediately. & # 39;
Cameroon defeated Colombia 1-0 to set up a final against France, but considering what had happened to Foe, Djemba -Djemba admitted that the rest of the team & # 39; bang & # 39; was to play again so quickly.
Subsequently, FIFA President Sepp Blatter paid a personal visit to the hotel hotel and urged them to play against France in the final, a match in which they lost 1-0 thanks to a goal from Thierry Henry.
An autopsy on Foe discovered that he had died of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, a hereditary condition known to increase the risk of sudden death when undergoing physical exercise.
Josh Taylor's ambitious decision to join legendary American promoter Bob Arum has sparked a bitter war of words with his former manager Barry McGuigan .
The Scot announced that he joined the powerful Top Rank organization and therefore split with Cyclone Promotions, run by former world champion McGuigan, Scot & # 39; s first promoter in the professional ranks who took him to the WBA and IBF titles led through a spectacular world Boxing Super Series triumph last year.
The switchover is also likely to end Taylor & # 39; s collaboration with trainer Shane McGuigan – and may still end in a legal battle.
Cyclone has issued a statement stating: & # 39; We are very disappointed to read the news today that Josh Taylor has signed a promotion agreement with another promotion company.
& # 39; Josh Taylor has an exclusive worldwide promotion contract with Cyclone Promotions.
& # 39; We have successfully brought Josh to the top of the sport from the day he became professional, along with other boxing stakeholders to deliver him the biggest fights.
& # 39; Recently Josh became IBF w world champion in May 2019, then united champion in October 2019 and since then we are working on the next phase of his career. We are sad that Josh felt the need to try to break his contract in this way and frustrated those who caused him to do so. & # 39;
Taylor went to Twitter to respond and accused Cyclone of & # 39; various breaches of contract & # 39;
& # 39; I wanted to remain respectfully silent about my relationship with Cyclone, but given that they have released a statement, it is only appropriate that I respond & # 39 ;, he said.
& # 39; Although I acknowledge and appreciate the role that Cyclone has played so far in my career, I ended my promotion agreement with Cyclone three weeks ago due to various breaches of contract, including in particular violations of a conflict of interest on the part of the promoter.
& # 39; This allowed me to search for a new promoter, which I found in Top Rank. I wanted to separate manners amicably and without resorting to legal proceedings.
& # 39; I thought and hoped that the McGuigans would feel the same, considering the lawsuit in which they are involved with other hunters. I hope that we can all move forward in a positive way and concentrate on things that advance us all. & # 39;
Although it remains to be seen while the split is taking place, there is no doubt that Arum has the key to Taylor being undisputed world champion.
And even a long-awaited unification against Jose Ramirez can be overshadowed by the planned follow-up, whereby Arum already drives the idea of a huge lucrative super fight between Taylor and American superstar Terence Crawford.
The multi-year promotion agreement, which includes global TV exposure to ESPN, also involves MTK Global taking over Taylor's management.
Along with the potential for greater exposure by signing with Arum, whose six decades in the fighting game have seen him work with everyone from Muhammad Ali to Manny Pacquiao, the deal has a clear bonus.
Top Rank already has WBC and WBO super lightweight belt holder Rami rez among their hunters. The American stands between Taylor and his lifelong dream of uniting the entire division, following the trail through colleague Scot – and personal hero for the boy from Prestonpans – Ken Buchanan.
Ramirez successfully adopted defends his titles against former Taylor victim Viktor Postol at the beginning of next month, a clash between stablemates – with all four world titles on the line – now looking to absolute certainty.
& # 39; Josh Taylor is one of & # 39; "The world's greatest best fighters," said Arum. "And he is a fighter of a fighting fan, a tough guy who is willing to fight against everyone we put before him.
" Whether it's Jose Ramirez in a fight for the undisputed junior welterweight title, or one of the welter weights from there, he is ready for the biggest challenges.
& # 39; I want to thank Josh & # 39; s advisers at MTK Global, who share the same goal as us, to make him an international star. & # 39;
While the prospect of fighting Ramirez for the honor of holding all four junior welterweight / super lightweight belts clearly catches the eye, Arum $ B! G (Bs report of a possible switch to welterweight placing the Scot in a different class of hunters With sufficiently inflated purses.
No one is asked more – or better box office – than Crawford, who happens to be part of the Top Rank Group.
The 32-year-old, with 36 wins from 36 fights, is generally regarded as one of the best pound-for-pound fighters on the net, unifying the super lightweight class in 2017 and has since been crowned WBO welterweight champion.
Crawford, whose rise to worldwide fame was arguably started when he tore the WBO belt away from the Ricky Burns in Scotland with a spectacular display in Glasgow in 2014 complains about the lack of challenge presented to him by recent contenders – and is looking for someone who can hire him.
As Taylor followed in the footsteps of the American through all vi to win the belts in one division, the 29-year-old former winner of the Commonwealth Games gold medal – only 16 fights in his professional career – would be on screen.
The Scot, whose rapid rise to double world title holder is almost without precedent in the modern game, said: & # 39; New year, a new decade with a lot of new beginnings, and I start this new decade with a big bang – 2019 was a huge year for me, but 2020 seems to be getting bigger. & # 39;
& I said something like, "Stay humble, keep working and you go far," Engelmark, a youth coach and technical director of Stockholm-based club IF Brommapojkarna, tells Sportsmail after hearing news that Kulusevski had completed his medical training at Juventus
Engelmark admits he knew the teenager was en route in January after a surprising Boxing Day visit. Back before Christmas he stayed with family, Kulusevski went for a training session that was held and was completely smiling when he prepared to put the pen on paper in Turin.
& # 39; We keep in touch and he told me he was going to sign & # 39 ;, he said. "Not which club, he wanted to keep that a surprise.
" I am going to wait until everything is settled and we will text & # 39; and or talk – but nowadays young people only want text & # 39; talk on the phone ! & # 39;
When Engelmark and the rest of the Brommapojkarna coaching staff saw the teenager west to Italy, some felt he was a & # 39; made a mistake & # 39;
Kulusevski could not speak the language, he had little understanding of the culture and still felt ready to leave Sweden for his further career. After he had sealed £ 30 million on Thursday to join Cristiano Ronaldo and Co with Juventus, it just went on to justify his own decision-making four years ago.
The move makes him the second most expensive Swedish player ever after Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who takes first place for his move from Inter Milan to Barcelona in 2009.
Brommapojkarna has one of the best youth academies in Europe and players such as Bojan Djordjic have made enough impression in the youth rank to seal a move to Manchester United in recent years. But even according to their standards, this is a unique moment for all involved.

- Jofra Archer has in New Zealand struggled with numbers from 2-182 in two tests
- Stuart Broad supported his teammate to return to a better experience
- Broad has passed on his experience to Archer to keep him positive] 07:42 GMT, November 30, 2019 |
Stuart Broad urged Jofra Archer to not getting down on himself after another long stint in the field left him with figures of two for 182 over two tests against New Zealand
Archer has since been a figure of fascination for the local media arrived in this country after a summer in which he helped England win the World Cup, then claimed 22 wickets – including two six-fors – in four Ashes Tests.
But after taking one for 107 during England's defeat on Mount Maunganui, Archer had to settle for one for 75 because New Zealand was fired for 375 on the second day in Hamilton. And while his economy rate of 2.6 was good, he is disappointed that he has made no greater impact.Stuart Broad has Jofra Archer says that after the toil, he should not be too hard on himself in New ZealandArcher has an overwhelming number of two for 182 on two tests against New Zealand
& He has never experienced something like that & # 39 ;, Broad said. He played a lot of first-class cricket from Division Two with the games in fast-forward. He said on Mount Maunganui that he had never been through a day without taking a wicket, but he is still new to this level of cricket.
"These fields are hard work to get wickets on. You can't expect to come here and get five to 30. I only encourage him to look ahead to South Africa – that's a better place to go bowling. & # 39;
Broad, who finished four by 73 to bring his test count in 2019 to an impressive 38 wickets at 25 each, has seen it all before in a career spanning more than a decade. And he encouraged Archer to put his struggles into perspective.
"He still judges himself on the wickets he takes, but once he has passed the 50 tests, he will not do that," Broad said. "He plays too much flat. He is a bit disappointed because he is used to making things happen in cricket.
"Sometimes the game is not played at home at the speed that we are used to. The excitement is not there, the pace is not there and the pinch is not there. I don't think the Kookaburra ball is his best friend right now, but it will be when he realizes that every step further is not like that.
"His economic course has been really good. His areas have been amazing. I told him today when he had one, because you would take your world cup and ashes for a few games without wickets.
& # 39; You can't get six every time you step on the field. Just lower your expectations, enjoy being here and talk to someone in England who is cold in November. You play cricket in New Zealand: it's good. & # 39;Broad was impressed by the ball for England on day two and ended with figures of 4-73Broad removed the New Zealand centurion Tom Latham early on day two for England
Broad argued that by the New Zeala to be rejected for 375, England was not far away to face the challenge they had set themselves when Joe Root won the pitch.
"We threw, not to throw New Zealand for 150," he said. "It aimed for 330-350 and then hit big once to try and win the game. We thought bowling would be our best chance to take 20 wickets in five days. & # 39;
Meanwhile, the left arm spinner Jack Leach was taken to the hospital after lunch on the second day after an attack of gastroenteritis. The leaching for this game fell after two to 153 in the first test on Mount Maunganui.
The Ivorian also delivered the corner taken by Sokratis
Arteta handed over the club's record and signed his first start since the Spaniard took over as Arsenal manager.
And the Ivorian answered that belief with an overwhelming finish for the opening goal after the cross of Sead Kolasinac was bent on his path, before he provided the corner that was eventually thrown in by Sokratis Papastathopoulos.
Pepe then revealed on French TV after the game that he had been pulled aside by Arteta in the morning of the game to give him encouraging words after being informed that he was in the base.
Pepe told RMC: & # 39; I had a discussion with the coach this morning and he told me I would start and asked if I felt ready and things like that.
& # 39; I told him I felt ready. I showed tonight that I was done.
& # 39; Well today is my mother's birthday, I score today, it is only p ositive for me and the team. & # 39;
Pepe also said that Arteta's careful use of video analysis helped them understand his ideas about their new system as they returned to the top four of the Premier League.
He added: & this feels much better. We scored twice, we conceded zero goals. This will really do a lot for everyone's self-confidence.
& # 39; We do a lot, a lot of video during the training to perform well during the competition. Today we performed well, we were solid defensive, we were well ahead.
& it's all new to us. A new system, new instructions. We adapt quickly.
& # 39; That has been seen in the last three games, even though we did not win, we were very good, we only missed the victory that we could achieve tonight. We must continue like this.
& # 39; Now we have to run to reach this top 4 that we have to do & # 39 ;.

Arsenal center-back David Luiz also praised Arteta after his victory over Manchester United, but admitted that it will take time for the party to get it right.
Luiz said: & # 39; This team is currently changing many things. We are going to do the great things in the future, but step by step.
& # 39; I think Mikel is a great coach. He knows football.
I believe in this philosophy and it can improve any player. If you are happy, the results can be very different.
& # 39; Our season isn't here, we started really bad. Things can change and (we) still have a number of titles to fight for and improvement for the team and the future. & # 39;
Without a job at the start of the season for the first time since 2000, the enigmatic Portuguese exchanged the dugout for the television studio and were punished for the three-month opening at Sky Sports.
Mourinho was a regular member of the flagship Super Sunday program with games and impressed with his insightful, detailed analysis – but what did Jose say this weekend about his opponents raising the stake?
Jose & # 39; s first appearance was in the opening weekend of the season, when Chelsea traveled to Old Trafford to face Manchester United.
For Frank Lampard – who arguably had the best years of his career in the first period of Mourinho in Chelsea in the middle of the last decade – it was his first competitive game as a Chelsea manager.
Even before the game, Mourinho did not place Chelsea in his list of title candidates, including Manchester City, Liverpool, Tottenham (significant) and for the joke & # 39; Man City B team & # 39 ;.
As for the game itself, it was a tough first lesson for Lampard about his management debut in the Premier League.
Although Chelsea approached several times, he couldn't find a breakthrough and leaked four goals on the other side – a humiliating defeat in his first game.
Afterwards, Mourinho admitted that he did not have his head was able to bypass the fact that important players such as Willi an and N & # 39; Golo Kante did not play and wanted the selection of Mason Mount and Tammy Abraham.
& # 39; You look at the performance of Mason Mount, the performance of Tammy Abraham, you even look at the performance of (Andreas Christensen and for matches of this dimension you need a little more. at the start of the season you should go for those you think will give you more, "said Mourinho during his debut in Sky Sports.
" If Willian is injured, I understand he is not there. Willian is here, and just late with his preparation, I don't understand why William is not here.
& # 39; You don't have to be fit to play for 20 or 30 minutes. You can eat from three weeks injury and if you get the right mindset to play.
& Kante If Kante can play 30/35 minutes, he can start the match. & # 39;
Later in September, Mourinho was even stronger in his assessment of the Blues.
After a 2-1 defeat at home in Liverpool, when they again missed opportunities to save something from the game, the Portuguese insisted that the side of Lampard was far away to fight. for titles & # 39 ;.
& # 39; I hope they don't get used to it [losing] – that's the most important thing, & # 39; Mourinho said bluntly.
I think that if you get used to it, big clubs stop being big clubs. They should not get used to it.
The result meant that Chelsea was 10 points behind at the time – and Mourinho made it clear that it was a work in progress.
& # 39; The reality of the figures says that Liverpool is 10 points ahead of Chelsea – they are not going to fight for the title.
I love their ideas. I think their playing style is adjusted to how football is today and to the profile of the players they now have.
& # 39; At present, they are far from being able to compete for titles. & # 39;
His last appearance in the Sky Studio coverage of Liverpool's 3-1 win over Manchester City on November 10.
It was not surprising that his thoughts about Chelsea & # 39; s outlook had apparently not changed this season despite a resurgence of form.
& # 39; In the first weekend I was worried and I'm still worried about the big games, & # 39; Mourinho insisted.
& # 39; They lost twice against [Manchester] United, they lost home from Liverpool and they conceded four against Ajax. & # 39;
So, if Frank Lampard & Chelsea team needed extra motivation while traveling to North London on Sunday, they have it.
Mourinho was brutally honest in his assessment of the first few months of the Lampard era, and in many ways he was right with the recent series of four defeats from Chelsea in five Premier League games.
But nevertheless it is a new test for Mourinho's side and after losing to Manchester United in early December, he does not want to go to Christmas with another setback against a former club, and where his topsy Turvy administrative career started on these banks.
& # 39; Muted words: 2012 and Drogba & # 39 ;: Bayern Munich responds to draw in Champions League while German giants try to be reminded of the final defeat of 2012 against Chelsea
The two sides met in the Allianz Arena of Bayern in the Champions League final, only for Chelsea to tear the script and raise the title after an inspired performance by Didier Drogba.
With Chelsea fans quickly reminding the club's social media team of their famous collapse in their own terrain, the club's account hilariously decided to dampen some key words on Twitter.
Bayern Munich hilariously muted some keywords after the Champions League draw
A photo on the club's page showed their settings set to & # 39; 2012 & # 39; and & # 39; Drogba & # 39; muted in the hope that they would not avoid memories of that night in Munich seven years ago.
Muting words is a way to filter out responses with content you do not want to be exposed to and the light-hearted tweet suggested that the club has not come to terms with losing the final on its own ground.
After finishing as group winners, Bayern first travels to Stamford Bridge, on Tuesday, February 25 at Frank Lampard's side in the first leg.
The return leg will evoke many emotions in both sets of fans, it is the location of Chelsea & # 39; s only Champions League triumph.

Danny Cipriani doesn't want this all about what Eddie Jones said about him in his book, so apologies to the playmaker from Gloucester for starting that hot topic, but it needs to be addressed.
When asked this week how he felt about critical comments from England's head coach in his autobiography, which was released last month, the questioner described the & # 39; elephant in the room & # 39;
No wonder. Jones condemned the character of a player whom he has largely watched suspiciously since he was in charge of the national team in December 2015.
While the Australian are & # 39; quality & # 39 ;, improved attitude and maturity , he regretted the circus around him and thought about a preseason incident in Jersey last summer – when Cipriani pleaded guilty of attacking a bouncer – by saying: & # 39; I was not too surprised. When a player does consistently stupid things, you don't expect him to change much. & # 39;
Jones then gave a damning assessment of how Cipriani was explicitly turned upside down by Owen Farrell in a semi-final Premiership Allianz Park last May, described it as & # 39; not a match & # 39 ;
It is fair to say that these barbs of the man in charge of the test side hit and stabbed.
Cipriani was reluctant to make a song and dance, but said: & He said more about me in a book than he ever said to me. He never said two words to me. I discovered everything I need to know about him through a book. I didn't even read the book, someone just sent me his quotes. Does he think with his ego or does he think further? You should ask him. I don't know how he works. & # 39;
When he was challenged by Jones's claim that he cannot change, Cipriani added emphatically: "What you say about other people is only true what you think about yourself. Everyone is a mirror. If you really believe that, how did you change or adjust in that period? I may have said the same thing about other people until you realize that everyone has the capacity to change. I feel very different from what I did a few weeks ago. Hopefully I keep learning and growing. & # 39;
Someone who has besieged much of his career besieged by questions about his international exile, those pots with his abundant talent, Cipriani is well versed in mass media fascination for the eternal subject.
Hence this plea: & # 39; I don't want to be the headline because he (Jones) is not even in my mind. If he calls me great, I have a good conversation with him.
"There is something that you can learn from everyone. Along the way I would have learned things from him. & # 39;
Yet there is an infinite intrigue in English rugby about wasting such & # 39; n precious possession. When Cipriani launched a test against South Africa in Cape Town for the first time in ten years in June last year, his ultimate cross-kick created Jonny May's decisive, clinching attempt in a victory for England.
Reporting on the national team was full of praise for recalled No. 10, which led Jones to state in his book: & # 39; The reaction of the press was outrageous. They thought Cipriani had proven that he was a genius. & # 39;
When the genius was mentioned that journalists were ranked by Jones for their positive reviews, he added: & # 39; That is clearly ridiculous to do, right? & # 39;
At various times when he spoke, Cyprian referred to how his way of thinking has changed in recent weeks. It was only a few weeks ago that the Jones book was released, but what served as a catalyst was unclear.
& # 39; My intention to play for England might have been myself before the ego or to prove people wrong, I don't quite know, & Cipriani said.
But until I have released that in recent weeks, you do not know what lies ahead. If I say let it go, that doesn't mean I don't want to do it, but I'm much better off. & # 39;
So if George Ford or Owen Farrell were injured and the call came – however unlikely that may be – how would he respond? & # 39; It would be a conversation, & # 39; he said. & # 39; I'd really like to be involved and represent my country, but it would be a conversation, because if it wasn't a thriving, pleasant environment for both of us, why would I put him (Jones) under that pressure and vice versa? & # 39;
Cipriani became 32 on the day of the World Cup Final. & # 39; I thought it was destiny, & # 39; he said with a somewhat melancholy tone, referring to that twin landmark.
During the summer, he spent some time training and surfing in California, and in general he knew all about fear. Now, without the search for Test caps as primary motivation, he must find others. That is no problem for someone who fights for a long time against deep-rooted observations.
"It has been a constant fight," he said. "I made mistakes as a child and suddenly a character is made. I'm not a person with a big ego, but people keep trying to label me like that. I may have played it at different times in my life, but I have always fought against it.
"I don't have to fight in myself. The only thing I ever experienced was that my mother remained in the fight. That's in me. How often have I been rejected to play for England? It's crazy. Was my intention right? I don't know I always felt it was, but maybe it gave people the wrong meaning.
& # 39; From child to adult, he rejected me. How should I deal with that? Do I continue to face it in the same way and do I have the same tensions and concerns or is there a breaking point? I don't want the breaking point to be when I'm 60 and the life lessons click. It's gone then, you know? & # 39;
What certainly has not disappeared is Cipriani's instinctive ability to transform rugby games with offensive glare or his desire to continue producing new tricks.
Last weekend he led the debate after shooting a low, flat kick over his own 22 to release teammate Matt Marshall into space, in Gloucester & Heineken's European Champions Cup win over Connacht at Kingsholm. So did he mean it? He did that and the inspiration was an Australian rugby league player.
"I saw Cooper Cronk do it last season in a race about the home state and I started practicing for a while," Cipriani said. "It makes the opposition believe that the ball is going somewhere else. In terms of execution, I could have had a better foot attack on the ball, but the intention was exactly as it was. That was what my body shape was doing. It meant I could cut the ball. I did one last season and I worked on it for a while, so I felt confident.
& # 39; What I found interesting throughout my career is that people will say, "Oh, this is playing the glitter and glamor", but I would never try anything on the field that I have never Have practiced 100 times and you have to keep learning and moving the envelope if this is best for the team. & # 39;
Gloucester continues to take advantage of this adventurous series until the summer of 2022, when Cipriani is likely What then?
One thing is Certainly, he won't follow former Wasps and England teammate James Haskell in the Australian jungle on I & # 39; Mon Celebrity, Get Me Out from Here
& # 39; I don't watch those shows & # 39 ;, he said. I'm not a fan. I would never do one of those shows.
& # 39; I could go into business, learn, spend some time on a beach, maybe a little coaching.
& # 39; I would like to help young athletes by sharing my experiences – the good, bad and ugly. Hopefully it can help if something resonates with a young child, otherwise my career would have been a bit of a waste. & # 39;
It's a shame if it really feels that way. Cyprian's career has not been wasteful, it is only wasted as an international asset. Jones may not be convinced, but Cyprian will still be appreciated by the club audience and the broader rugby audience. Most people agree that there is genius in him.
